IPTV Definition

Internet Protocol television (IPTV) is the delivery of television content over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. This is in contrast to delivery through traditional terrestrial, satellite, and cable television formats. Unlike downloaded media, IPTV offers the ability to stream the source media continuously.

Advantages

One of the advantages of IPTV is its capability to get easily integrated with other IP-based services such as VOIP or high-speed internet. It uses the existing computer network. Hence, no use of cables and is hassle free. It distributes live or prerecorded TV and video/audio over the preexisting network.

My viewing is very interupted, how can i try to resolve it?

If you have an LG Smart TV :

– Remember to update your TV’s WebOs system and check that the Smart IPTV application is up to date.

In the Smart IPTV application “Settings”, change the “Stream player type” setting to “NC auto” and restart the TV.

Please refer to the Smart iptv application website for more details: http://siptv.eu/howto/

If the Smart IPTV application crashes and you notice repeated blackouts, please turn off the TV and unplug the cable from the power supply for about 30 seconds and then restart the application again (don’t worry because your playlist will not be erased, this will just clear your TV’s cache and reset the application to work again.

Samsung Smart TV :

Do you have blackouts, latencies, very slow channel loading, slow response when switching or trying to go back to groups or zap between channels?

In this case, try to delete the cache memory of your Tvs, the TV does not have as much memory as an Android box.

To delete the cache memory of your TV :

For Samsung F series: http://www.samsung.com/in/support/skp/htg/10840#none

If you have another version of Samsung, unplug the cable from the power supply of the TV for at least 30 seconds to do a Hard Reset so as to erase the temporary cache memory of the TV and remember to restart your router or internet box as well.

Also change the Buffer time option to “0” or “auto” from the Smart iptv application settings so you don’t use the memory.

For best results, use the Ethernet cable instead of Wifi to connect your TV to the internet.

Flow rate problem:

Perform a test on the website: fast.com check the speed it gives you (please use this site not another one as speedtest..etc )

If the result is less than 4Mbps: the stream won’t pass and you will have cuts on almost all channels.
Recommended bit rate for HD: 8Mbps or more .
The recommended bit rate for FullHD: 12Mbps or more.
Application cache or insufficient RAM memory problem :

Sometimes the cause of jerks and jerks could be insufficient RAM or application cache problem, the most recommended is to have an Android BOX with 2GB or more of RAM.

In case of cache memory problems (Buffering on all channels, black screen) try to unplug the power cable from your TV or box and wait for 20 or 30 seconds and then plug it back in again, this will clear the application cache and may fix the problem.

Set the WiFi IP address and set the Google DNS:

Try to set the Wifi or ethernet IP address from the network settings of your smartphone, Android, PC, Smart TV or Mag, choose to set the IP address manually for example : 192.168.1.12 and use as DNS the one of Google : Primary DNS : 8.8.8.8 and secondary DNS (optional) : 8.8.4.4
